the first entry!

Welcome to my first ever blog -- okay, not really. I've tried this a couple of times and never kept up. I feel like now, I actually have a reason to blog. A reason that (hopefully) will keep me blogging! I'll start at the beginning --

On January 16, 2009, my husband and I discovered God gave us a miracle. A wee, little babe (one I like to call "bean" because of his resemblance to a pinto bean) was living, and growing inside of me. It took us a long while to get to this point. My husband knew all along God would fulfill our hopes and dreams while I, unfortunately, was much less faithful. Many doctors, appointments, procedures, surgeries, treatments later, here we are expecting our first little one.

Yes, it's a BOY and we couldn't be more excited. I wanted to start this blog to chronicle the rest of my pregnancy and quite possibly the early beginnings of his sweet little life. I say "quite possibly" because I know my reputation as a "blogger." Hopefully, this will become something I enjoy. I'm learning. School's almost out and I'll have a little more time on my hands to get in the habit.
